The objective is to get rid of all the cards in your hand before the other players.
Preparing the game/h4>
At the beginning, each player receives the same number of cards. The remaining cards form the draw pile. One card is placed face up to determine the starting suit and value.
Taking a turn/h4>
Players take turns in the direction of play. On their turn, a player must discard a card that matches either the suit or value of the card on the table. If a player does not have a suitable card, they must draw one card from the deck, and their turn ends (unless the game allows them to play this card immediately).
Special cards/h4>
There are special cards in the game that change the course of the game:
Change of direction – reverses the order of turns.
Stand / Skip – the next player loses their turn.
Draw cards – the next player must draw a specified number of cards and loses their turn.
Change of suit – the player determines the new suit to be played.
Last card/h4>
As soon as a player has only one card left in their hand, they must announce this (usually automatically in the game). If they fail to do so and are reminded, they may be penalized by having to draw additional cards.
End of the game
The game ends when one of the players discards their last card. This player becomes the winner of the game.
